The Wisconsin Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (WACVB) is a Wisconsin tourism industry leader that provides members with educational, legislative, marketing and networking opportunities.  WACVB has 35 members, representing over $30 million in promotional power to drive tourism growth in Wisconsin.  Formed in 1983, WACVB also initiates programs to increase awareness and appreciation of destination marketing organizations (DMOs) as well as the entire tourism industry.

WACVB orchestrates cooperative promotion of the State as a meetings and convention destination. The Think Wisconsin campaign targets meeting planners through advertising, trade shows and www.thinkwisconsin.com.  WACVB also has a Web site for leisure travelers – escapetowisconsin.com - and is leading a statewide sports marketing effort through such vehicles as www.sportswisconsin.com.  WACVB is a partner in the Wisconsin Tourism Federation and is one of the lead players on Room Tax Reform and School Start Date legislation.
