About the community

Fond du Lac is located on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin’s largest inland lake, and is just an hour from the largest cities in the state — Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay. Five major highways lead into Fond du Lac. Meeting planners will find award-winning properties like Holiday Inn Holidome and Ramada Plaza Hotel, two of Fond du Lac’s 15 lodging facilities. The new state-of-the-art Stayer Center for Technology & Executive Learning provides upscale meeting space for 250. When staying in the area, enjoy Fond du Lac’s affordability, accessibility, and safe fresh-air environment.

Attractions

View Lakeside Park, a 400-acre beautiful showcase bordering Lake Winnebago. Lagoons, gardens, covered bridges and a lookout lighthouse. Tour and shop at Fond du Lac’s Bavarian-style Kristmas Kringle Shoppe, offering the largest collection of Italian ornaments in the nation.

Special attractions: Experts reveal St. Paul’s Cathedral as being one of the finest unified woodcarving collections in the United States. Visit Historic Galloway House, an 1880 Italianate mansion surrounded by a turn-of-the-century village and a museum.  Relax aboard The Lakeside Spirit while enjoying mouth-watering food and refreshing beverages.  See Larson's Famous Clydesdales, Glacier Ridge Animal Farm or Villa Loretto for entertainment and fun.
